ACTING PROJECTS
Thank you so much for stepping up to play the role of "Mama" in my play " Mama Wont Stay Dead" . You brought such humour, strength, talent, and vulnerability to the role. It was a joy to see one of my favorite characters come alive in your skillful hands"
Charlotte Higgins
Playwright
44th Samuel French Off Broadway Festival

'I was beyond fortunate to find Mia for my short film, "1959-2003 Approximately". Given the inconsistent results when casting roles over the internet, I was pleased to find an actress as poised, empathetic, and genuinely talented as Mia. Not only did she steal the scenes she appeared in (of course, in the best, subtlest way) but she made my job as a director / editor a trillion times easier. I didn't have to do take after take to get something right. Mia came prepared, nailed her role, and gave a great performance that people always compliment whenever watching the film. Of course, I can't take credit for her work, but I do take credit for the discovery and recommend her to anyone looking for a consummate professional and true collaborator.'
Danny Smight
Independent Film Director

'Mia is the type of canvas that any artist would love to work with: willing and versatile.  Her range as an actress seemingly brings any role she touches to life in it's own unique way; each character is of itself, yet each is Mia... wow.'
 Lenny Payan

"Mia was an absolute joy to work with, incredibly calm, patient and professional.  She listens clearly to direction and she impressed me with her ability to take direction so well.  On top of all that, Mia employs a sensitivity and a natural, subtle talent that the medium of film demands."  -
John Cerna,
Independent Director

"Mia is like a good pair of glasses, she helps you see clearly"
Ricky Waymer
Director of Made in Brooklyn

'I am so very grateful for your time, effort, considerable talent you gave to Mattie and the readings of First, Do No Harm...you came closer to the real Mattie than those I've heard in previous readings...I paid close attention to the audience response last night, and counted four people sniffling or wiping their eyes in addition to the woman who broke down crying at the talkback. There is no greater, more moving experience for a writer than to witness characters living for years inside a computer brought to life by great actors, and to the extent that evokes such a profound emotional response in an audience. You achieved this beautifully.'
J. Thalia Cunningham- Playwright

DIRECTING PROJECTS

"Mia Anderson is a brilliant and powerful director! Her direction and Effortless intuition never fail to create magic on stage for the actors and audience."
Julia Genoveva

"The role was a real stretch but Mia got me there in only a few hours...she enlivened the piece with innovative pulses of rhythm and movement, while exploiting most effectively the limited resources at hand under strictest production restraints. That's gifted."
Elena Zazanis
Actress

"I'm always excited when I have the opportunity to work with Mia. She's engaging, clear, and open, all while giving you an open field to create..... The kind of director an actor dreams of collaborating with."
Lodric D. Collins
Actor/Producer

'She has a good sense for working with actors and she'll make you look inside yourself to pull out a performance unlike anything you thought you could give.'
Stephon O'Neal Pettway
Actor

"Mia is a truly gifted artist, director, and collaborator. She has a keen eye for a directing and craftsmanship"
Mike Aguirre

"Mia has a knack for cutting through the crap (crap? Can I say that? is there a better word? Feel free to replace) and getting to the heart of a scene. On top of that she is just awesome to work with. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat!"
-Amanda "dang can that girl act!" Berry, incredible actor and singer
